The electrification plan previously announced by Mazda in June 2021 is now taking more and more shape. In Canada, we should see nine new electrified Mazda models within three years.
Come and discover with us the latest details unveiled on the Japanese automaker’s electrification plan.
Among the nine models of electrified vehicles, two will appear as early as next year.
For those looking for an electric vehicle, you may be interested in the Mazda MX-30. Already available in Quebec and British Columbia, the electric subcompact crossover will be available across the country next year.
But for Quebecers, the MX-30 is not “new”. For those looking for something new, Mazda will also be offering two new hybrid SUV models that will be released next year:
Those who prefer a hybrid vehicle they may be satisfied by one of these two new models on which we already have plenty of information.
After 2023, Mazda’s plans are slightly vague, but the automaker offered some more information about its electrification goals for the next three years.
In 2024, a hybrid version of the CX-50 will be released. Moreover, two other “core crossovers” will also offer a hybrid version, although Mazda has not yet revealed which models.
Finally, for 2025, four new hybrid models will be announced, as well as a new electric SUV. Unfortunately, at the moment we still don’t have more information on these models.
